C - U - T - THE - B - P - T -- Let’s Grow Jobs In This City

HAPPY TAX DAY!  Oops...for a second, I forgot this is Philadelphia so it is always an unhappy tax day.  As we know all too well, compared to other cities and surrounding competitor jurisdictions, Philadelphia taxes too much, taxes the wrong stuff, and taxes unfairly.  If we were to make Philadelphia taxes more fair and less burdensome, we could improve efforts to attract and retain jobs and neighbors.

The voter-established Tax Reform Commission recommended that the city...

...and we are making progress.  The next major change could come soon as City Council is considering legislation to eliminate the Gross Receipts Portion of the j-kBPT and initiate the first-ever cuts to the Net Incompe Portion of the j-kBPT.

So let's change our tune and make this a HAPPY TAX DAY.  Philadelphia is singing a new song and it is in the key of Tax Reform:

With nothing but RESPECT for the Queen of Soul, we present...
